Wireless – Field Service Installer

Responsible for continuing to 
expand knowledge base and performing entry-to-mid skilled tasks to install, remove, maintain and repair wireless telecommunications equipment and systems. This position will install/terminate cables, to include CAT5/6, coaxial RF, twisted pair, optical fiber and various sizes of power cable and other cable types, through conduit, in cable tray, above ceilings and between floors. This position will install/assemble/program/commission/integrate wireless network equipment within Cell Site, Central Office, Data Center, Small Cell, DAS, Wi-Fi, Satellite, and OSP, with Ethernet installation and acceptance, Fiber Splicing Installation with Scope and OTDR acceptance, RF line sweep and PIM testing, site audits and maintenance type items. This position may be tasked with working as a lead on simple projects, maintaining project trackers and providing updates to management. This position may be trained on or be capable of performing test procedures with various types of test equipment. All work to be completed in a safe manner to the highest quality standards.

OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Support and perform installation, testingand maintenance of telecommunications equipment, sub-systems and ancillary equipment.
  • Perform tasks in adherence to company procedures, OEM and customer standards and safe work practices.bays and equipment.
  • Safe operation of fleet and equipment: Trucks, Vans, Box-Trucks, Bucket-Trucks, ATV/XUV’s (to include vehicles weighing up to 26,000 pounds); Lifts, etc.
  • Perform fabrication and termination of cables/connectors. Mount, install and bolt down racks, bays and equipment. 
  • Work autonomously, and troubleshoot tasks and issues with supervision.
  • Perform all work in a timely and efficient manner while observing OEM, customer and company procedures; as well as safety and quality guidelines and expectations at all times.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Management.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical oriented experience and mechanical skills are essential.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work with hand tools, power tools and test equipment are required.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license in the state of residence, and have a safe driving record in accordance with industry standards as a condition of initial and continued employment.
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
  • Must be able to travel out of town to support the needs of the business. (No out of pocket expenses while traveling—we provide lodging and meal per diem)
  • Must be able to work overtime including nights and weekends, upon request.
